Last night for FHE, Hallie and Mike taught us about Lehi's vision of the Tree of Life in the Book of Mormon. They taught us that we need to hold fast to the Iron Rod (word of God) to make it to the Tree of Life and, essentially, gain eternal life. Hallie and Mike made an "Iron Rod" and we blind folded the kids and helped them on their journey to the Tree of Life.
When they finally made it to the tree (the eliptical), they were able to partake of the fruit (candy).
We had a great time and enjoyed partaking of the fruit!
A successful FHE and you even have the pictures to prove it! I'm going to have to follow your advice and keep the camera handy so if we have one that goes smoothly in the future (near or distant) I can get a snapshot of it so when they're adults I can say, "See? We did have one you should have learned something at!" :)
