Everyone knows I love my husband, but, really?! Beautiful blue ocean, bare feet, sunshine. It's just not fair! I get that I am so BLESSED to stay home and take care of the kids, but who wouldn't be jealous of all of the amazing places he gets to see. In the past year alone, he's been to Chicago, Florida, San Francisco and THAILAND. Maybe someone will sympathize with my frustration. Anyway, I thought I would post his most recent adventure... deep sea fishing off the coast of Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Poor accountant... working so hard all day long on his business trip. Just kidding. Most people don't really grasp the concept of how much work he really does. I think he deserves one afternoon away from the office enjoying some UV rays.
Here's the view from his hotel room. Posh.
I know this picture isn't so amazing but it's like "Where's Waldo?" Mike took about ten shots trying to get a snapshot of this guy in his awesome speedo. He's actually bending over in this one. It's pretty nasty. Maybe if you zoom in really close you can catch a glimpse. Mike's not a perve-- I promise. He gets a little carried away sometimes when he's with his buddies.
Reason #265 of why it is just not fair. Who gets to go on awesome vacations with their best friends and do crazy amazing things? Oh, yeah--that's my husband. (He could at least put on a smile, don't ya think?)
Here's the deep sea fishing guide and his son that he bossed around the whole time. Mike and Brandon picked this fishing trip over 18 holes of golf at some luxury course because they thought it would be cool to reel in a swordfish or some big shark or something. So what do they do? The poles have to stay in these holder things and the guide makes his son do all of the bating and reeling in. Mike and Brandon basically ended up with a glorified boat ride.
Here's B reeling in his pretend fish. A lot of sweat and tears went into that catch.
And, here's the fish that the guide's son reeled in for them. They were so proud. (I'm just joking if you didn't catch that).
Mike really wore himself out bringing in the big one. Maybe they'll have better luck on their next business trip. Jamaica? Bahamas? Tahiti? Who knows. I'm sure it'll be some place I've always dreamed of visiting. Woe is me.
