Feelin' Spooky

Since the preschool kids stopped by today and I already had my camera outside, I thought I would hurry and snap a few pics of our spooky house since I've had a few requests.  So, here goes...

Fall Field Trip to Our House

Mrs. Charity's preschool class decided to come to my house for a little field trip to see our pumpkins.  Take a look at Cameron.  He is at least two to three inches taller than all of the other boys.  Our poor little behemoth!
Once they got here, though, the kids decided that they wanted to play in the leaves instead.
If you take a look at all of the other yards in this picture, you'll notice that there are only leaves in our yard.  Yesterday, Hallie and Bryant decided that we needed to import our leaves from their friend's yard in Woods Cross.  So if anyone gets a hankering for jumping in the leaves, just head on over to our house.

I think the boys had a lot of fun chucking leaves at each other... and me.
And then it was time to go check out the scarecrows in the Wilding's yard.
What a fun little surprise for the day!  Thanks, Miss Charity!

FHE Fun

Tonight we had our friends, Haylie and Cooper, over for dinner and some FHE fun.  After dinner, we had everyone change into their swimsuits so we could play in the hot tub.  First we had a short lesson about repentance and showed the video, "The Shiny Bicycle," that we found on mormonchannel.org. http://www.mormonchannel.org/video/mormon-messages?v=2609209978001
After the lesson, we ate some pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and headed out to the hot tub to enjoy some warm water and crisp autumn air.
The water was PERFECT and the air was cool.
The kids got too hot too fast, so they started a game of catch on the tramp.
 What a great night!

2013 October General Conference

It's that time again... L.D.S. General Conference!  We love General Conference weekend at our house.  Aside from listening to our prophet and other church leaders teach us and give us important direction for our lives, we have some pretty fun traditions.  The kids were excited to put up their conference tents  this morning.  Every six months they put up their tents and "try" to listen.  We also play some fun games and eat some good food.
We also play a little game during conference where we listen to the talks and when one of the twelve apostles or first presidency speak, the kids can open a correlating surprise.   Some of the surprises include puzzles, markers, small toys and treats.  We LOVE conference!
