This Is The Place

Saturday morning, we went to "This Is The Place" Heritage Park to do a walk for March of Dimes. A gal that Mike used to work with puts together a team every year in honor of her little boy who was premature. There were lots of activities to do for the kids and it was pretty fun.

A rare family picture moment in the park

The Opera (or Oprah, as Hallie likes to say it)

Hallie performed in her very first(and probably last) opera on Thursday night. She was fantastic. She wore her flower costume without throwing a massive fit and stayed on the stage the entire time. We were so proud. But, seriously, minus the fact that she didn't really sing much, she did pretty well for a 1st grader.

Photo Shoot with Little Lexi

This weekend we did a little photo shoot with our new niece, Lexi. She was really a pretty good sport about the whole thing. What a cutie! These are some of my favorites.

Jackson Family Photos

Yesterday, we did family photos with the Jackson's. It's been a really long time since we've had one and since we won't be together for a while, I decided to get everyone together for a few snapshots.

Art Show

Thursday night was Hallie's art show at school. She was really excited to show us all of her awesome artwork and perform a few songs with her class.

I asked Hallie why she didn't sing very much and she said, "Mom, it's 'cause I was jealous." I asked her why she was jealous and she said, "Because there were lots of people there," and I said, "Oh, you mean you were embarrassed," and she said, "No, I was jealous because it was scary and there were lots of people there." I smiled and had to remind her of the difference between being jealous and embarrassed.

After the "jealous" performance, we hit Yogi Berry for a little treat. It was a fun night.
