In February of 2011, Mike took his very first trip to Bankok, Thailand. This was the view from his hotel, which was the nicest hotel I've ever seen.
Here are some images he took of downtown Bangkok. He also took a river trip and saw some of the outskirts of Bangkok, which are not as nice or up to date as the city.
Mike said that there were Buddhist temples everywhere.
Most of Thailand is not like the city. The people are very poor and have very poor living conditions. Seeing these pictures makes me very grateful for all of the blessings I have been given. My heart goes out to these people.
Mike and Brandon took a ride on this boat through the Bangkok.
Their tour guides were a little family from the area.
It is amazing to see the kind of living conditions the native people have to deal with.
Mike and Brandon stopped at a little zoo along their river trip. They were able to hold some monkeys and see a snake charmer-- creepy!
Mike took a very long rickshaw ride to find this cool temple.
Although he was working, he even had time to sneak in a game of Bball.
Well, that's about it. He went sightseeing and worked a bit, too.
