A Few of My Favorites

I did a few photo shoots last week and am too lazy to post all of them separately, so I thought I would just do one huge post of some of my favorites.  There are more on my website.

 Poor kid!

This is so Brooklyn.  I love it!

Love these little boys!  They were so fun.

What's up with the bath tub?

 Look at those rolls!

Thank you, thank you, thank you to the Marchant's, Scott's and Gunn's for letting me shoot you!

More Mess

You might recall these images from a few months ago when our bathroom was in demolition mode because our shower was installed incorrectly...

Well, they're back!  My sink in our bathroom was cracked so the warranty people sent the granite company out to replace the sink.  Well, they had to cut the sink out from under the granite.  The guy who came told me, in VERY broken English, that it would be a little messy.  So, I thought I would open the door and take a picture of what was happening and the second I did, the giant dust cloud descended up the rest of the house.  My bathroom is currently covered in nasty white muck.  They told me I could leave all of the stuff in the drawers, but I opened them to find, in utter horror, that everything inside was also covered in dust.  So, in addition to having no bathroom sink, I have about six hours of clean up to do just to be able to use the darned thing, and I still have to wait for a plumber to come and hook it up.  ARGHHHHH!  Oh, well-- it could be a lot worse... we could have no bathroom at all and that wouldn't be very much fun :)

Girl's Weekend

A couple weeks ago, I went on a little girl's weekend to Park City with my friends Jenny, Lisa and Cassy.  We stayed in the Silver King Hotel (which, by the way, is awesome-- there were two bedrooms, a kitchen, flat screens in every room, and yes, a hot tub in our unit.  It was a blast!  I definitely came home about 5 lbs heavier and much sleepier.

We had to meet Cassy at the pizza place so we decided to take the bus to Main Street.

Here are the girls getting ready to gorge themselves on pizza.

After dinner, we decided to do a little shopping and found these AWESOME outfits.

This was why we felt so great in the morning :)

We decided to turn the TV around so we could watch while we were sitting in the hot tub.

We had our own bed, but Cassy and I decided that Jenny and Lisa were having too much fun in the other room without us.  So we sneaked in, scared them and hopped in bed.

This is what time Cassy and I went back to our room.

In the morning, Cassy had to go to work and the rest of us got ready to go shopping.  On our way to the outlets, we stopped to check out the awesome white barn.  Jenny and Lisa were nice to let me take some pictures.  They turned out great.  I think this is my new favorite spot to shoot so if anyone wants to have me do their pictures here, I will love you!

It was a great weekend and a much needed break.  I don't think I can wait until next year to do it again.

All She Wants For Christmas...

She FINALLY lost them.  It was a traumatic experience, but they're gone!

Red Butte Gardens

A few weeks ago we decided to head to Red Butte Gardens to make another attempt at getting some family pictures.  Unfortunately,  the second we got there, it started to rain.

Although we didn't really get what I wanted, we still had a lot of fun.

The kids loved playing in the rain and exploring the gardens.

General Conference Tent

This year for General Conference, we decided to teach the kids about King Benjamin and all the people turning their tents toward his tower to listen to him teach them.  So, Mike, in all of his craftiness, got some extra wood that was laying around and made a tent for the kids to lay in while they listened to conference.  They loved it.  I think this will definitely become a tradition for us.

Temple Square

The Friday before General Conference we decided to take a little trip to Temple Square to get the kids geared up for the weekend.  They had a lot of fun walking around and playing in the fountains.

I wanted to try to get some family pictures while we were there, but it was kind of a bust.  Not everyone was so excited to cooperate.  Hallie is always good for a pose, though.

We couldn't get Bryant out of the fountains.  He was soaked by the end of the day.

I love this picture of the kids waiting for the BIG fountain to go off.

Cameron wasn't really into cooperating, either.  Mike had to chase after him the whole time.

Here they are watching the BIG fountain again.

I was tickling Cameron to try to get him to laugh, but all of the good smiles were too blurry because he couldn't hold still.

This is my sexy husband!  He hates this picture but I think he looks cute.

We finally got all of the kids to sit still in one spot for more that two seconds.  Too bad we couldn't get them all to smile at the same time.

I love watching Mike play with the kids.  He is such a good dad.  He is so good to always want to do things to help our kids learn what is important in life.

And here is the fam.  It was a fun day.
