Merry Christmas 2011!

On Christmas Eve, after we watched the nativity and ate dinner, we opened our Christmas jammies.

The kids were soooo excited.

Mike got them all wound up right before bed-- typical.  The kids made paper chains yesterday (to kill some time) before we went to Kangaroo Zoo for 3 hours.  Mike decided to wrap himself in them and pretend to be the ghost of Jacob Marley (I almost wrote Bob Marley, he, he, he).  That is pretty much the only time since his surgery that he has been almost normal (don't worry-- it didn't last). Anywho... after the craziness we drove around EVERY street in our entire subdivision to look at the lights.  Cameron was fast asleep when we got home and the two older kids were close behind.

The kids came in to wake us up at 5:55 a.m.  Since we had to make 9:00 church, it was okay.

They were so excited to see what Santa had brought them.  Hallie got a bike and a pogo stick.  Bryant got a bike and a scooter, and Cameron got a McQueen scooter and a huge box of legos (cause we really needed 1600 more legos to add to the HUGE box we already have-- note the scarcasm).

Cameron told us he had to go do the Piston Cup.  Apparently, that means going up and down the hall a few times.

And then he made me put together his "Thomas" train tracks.  This was the first of about a hundred times I had to set them up today.

This is what time we finished.  We still had two hours to burn before church.  Amazing!  And, better yet, we were 10 minutes early! Wahoo!

Church was good.  Becky, Kevin and Tricia came over for dinner-- turkey, mashed potatoes, Becky's famous rolls and green bean casserole, and another helping of those AWESOME sugar cookies.

It was a good day.
