We're just a little hungry!

Every Thanksgiving, the big fight is over who gets the legs.  Grandpa Gene always gets one and then everyone else (by everyone else, I mean the kids) battles it out.  Well, this year, I decided that all the kids were going to have to share.  So we passed it around and took a shot of each of them gnawing on that nasty thing.
And then we all enjoyed our dinner in peace.
Grandma Julie brought crafty stuff for the kids.
The boys made pilgrim hats and the girls made bonnets.
And Shay and Esther helped the kids make cornicopias while the rest of us kicked back and relaxed.
Good times.

Husband & Wife... almost.

I finally finished my brother's wedding pictures!  Yeah!  They're not actually married yet because they are waiting for her sealing cancellation to her ex-husband, but they wanted to do their wedding photos before all of the flowers were gone.  What a cute couple!

What's this all about?  Well, when I was taking their engagement pictures last month I told them to look at each other and talk so that I could get some more candid shots.  When I got close enough to hear what they were saying, they were telling each other sweet nothings like, "You are my shrimp cocktail," and, "You are my rib eye steak"-- Yuck!  I was totally sicked out.  So, when we had to stop at Costco for some flowers, We stopped by the butcher department and took a few shots.

Who are these people?!

The Big Day

Yesterday my mom went to receive her endowment in the Provo Temple.  It was a big day with a lot of mixed emotions.

She chose the Provo Temple because she attended the dedication as a child, so it had special meaning to her.

My sister, Anisha, and I were able to both be her escorts.  It was so fulfilling to be able to see her find happiness and take this big step in her life (no, I am not an Amazon Woman and, yes, I look freakishly tall in this picture because I'm the only one wearing heels).

My mom's mom, Elaine (Grandma Music), her brother, Dan, her oldest sister, Chris, and her youngest sister, Gloria (missing from the picture) were able to attend.  Her other sister, Meladee, who is endowed, was not there.  It was so great to see my grandma so happy and I know that she has great peace, now, knowing that all of her children are on the right path.  That made me very happy for her.

Here is my little sister, Anisha, my mom, Julie, my little brother, Shay, and me.  There were definitely a few moments of sadness for me, knowing that my dad was not there, but the happy moments far outweighed the sad ones.

Mike, Angalee, Josh (best friend's hubby), Andrea (my best friend & my mom's adopted daughter), Anisha, Mom, Shay and his fiance, Esther

We missed you, Brad.  It just wasn't the same without you.  In honor of you, we took this one...
(my sister's hubby is working in Montana right now and couldn't make it)  This one's my fave.

I think last night falls in my top five for best life experience.  It was a good day.

My Little Bro is Gettin' Hitched!

This is my little bro and his beautiful fiance, Esther.  He met her in his singles ward a few months ago.  We went to Cascade Springs to take their engagement pictures.  It was a lot of fun.  I tried not to get too sicked out from all of their gushyness.  Here are a few of my favorites.
