In August, we went on a family campout for the weekend near the upper Provo River Falls.
Grandma Julie and the kids named our camp.
We drove Grandma's trailer up to the camp on Thursday afternoon. The Hills showed up late Thursday night, and Shay and Esther arrived on Friday.
While we waited for everyone else to arrive, we found and carved walking sticks.
The next morning we made breakfast and set out to find wood for the fire.
And while Mike was chopping, he stabbed himself in the leg with a log.
We doctored him up well and everyone helped out.
After the drama, the playing commenced.
We all spent a lot of time in the hammock.
Everyone was having such a great time that Easton didn't want to miss a thing. When he had to go, he just dropped his drawers and didn't think anything of it. He gave us all a good laugh.
Friday afternoon we went to the falls to play, but we didn't stay long because the water was FREEZING.
When we got back to camp, Shay brought out the water bottle rockets. It was a blast!
The kids got soaked. Again.
After we dried off, it was time for dinner and s'mores and campfire cones.
What a great weekend!
