Look at that cute little cowgirl! Hallie dressed up today for her "Westward Expansion" activity at school.
They reenacted a pioneer trek by splitting into companies and driving their own "handcarts."
I love how they decorated!
Each company travelled to different stations to do pioneer activities.
One of the activities was to grind corn into meal, the good 'ol fashioned way.
It was fun to watch them work. Most of them thought it was way too hard. Surprise, surprise.
They played games...
Had a tug-of-war...
And reenacted the Pony Express.
It was pretty hot outside so they cooled off by making homemade ice cream and drinking(or playing in) plenty of water.
After their breaks, the whistle would sound and they were off to the next station!
