Since my birthday falls on General Conference and Spring Break, Mike took Friday off work and took me out on the town. First, we made a stop at the camera store so I could buy myself a birthday gift. I've been saving my pennies for this one and I finally had enough to get it.
I was so excited!
We also had an early dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and hit the movie theater to see the new Captain America movie.
Before our date, Mike took the kids shopping to pick out some gifts. Hallie really wanted to get me some "BYU flowers." Bryant wanted to get me some underwear so Mike steered him toward a movie and some chocolate. They also stopped at the spa and picked up a gift certificate for a pedicures for Hallie and me to get before our trip to Miami.
The kids went to spend the night with Grandpa and Grandma Jackson and play with their cousins. They decorated before we came to pick them up the next morning and yelled "surprise" when we walked through the door.
Mike bought a pinata so we could have some fun with the fam.
The kids were so excited!
After conference we went to Steph & Matt's for a family BBQ before the priesthood session. We celebrated Bryant and Jordon's April birthdays, too.
Capri was really excited for birthday cake, so Grandma bought a little cake just for her.
But she couldn't wait until we blew out the candles.
After dinner we went out to destroy the pinata.
We started with the youngest kids and only made it through to Bryant before it broke.
We salvaged the rest of that poor thing and let the big kids have a whack at it.
After the guys left for priesthood, we let Bryant open his presents. He opened his gift from Grandma and Grandpa.
He liked the clothes they got him but he was really excited to see what else was in the box.
He really like his gift from the Harris'.
Steph & Matt, I can't wait until the next birthday of one of your children.
Paybacks...
Silly string and a fart gun. What were you thinking?!
After presents, we sent the kids downstairs to play and enjoyed some peace and quiet, and enjoyed this cute little thing.
What a great day!
