Last Saturday, we went to the sand dunes with my family.
The weather was PERFECT. Cool air. No wind. Little sun. Beautiful.
When we got there, we set up camp and got ready to play.
The kids ran straight up the hill and started to play.
And Brad joined in.
We got the four wheelers ready and started giving rides.
Grandma Julie brought some kites.
Poor little Stella didn't get to have much fun, but she was such a good baby.
Shay had a little trouble making it up the hill.
I think this was his 4th attempt.
Esther was such a good sport being so pregnant and all.
After lunch, it was off to the junipers for a risky game of chase.
Later in the afternoon when the wind picked up and the clouds were a little more ominous, we decided it was time to head back and call it a day.
So we packed it all up and dumped the sand out of our shoes and pockets, and started the three hour trek home. What a fun day!
