We spent Christmas Eve this year at home with the Snell family. Poor little Cameron had the flu all week and was just too tuckered out after sledding. So he curled up next to the fire and slept through dinner.
For dinner, we roasted a turkey. It was yummy.
After dinner, the kids got dressed up in their "nativity attire," in preparation for Grandma Julie's special Christmas Eve program, which included opening presents.
We didn't want Cameron to miss presents, so we woke him up and he cuddled on our laps.
Grandma guided us through the Christmas story and after each little section, the kids got to open one of their gifts.
The kids had a lot of fun and we all felt the spirit of Christmas.
Cameron was pretty wasted but he perked up a bit for the presents.
Grandma brought some pretty cool props for her program.
She let the kids smell the frankincense and murre, and let them see some real gold.
Shay and Esther broke the news to us that they are expecting a baby.
After the program and all of the gifts, we had dessert and opened our Christmas Eve jammies.
