Saturday morning we went to the Westinghouse plant (formerly known as Western Zirconium) to take a tour of Grandpa Jackson's workplace.
We drove all the way out to the middle of nowhere-- west of Hooper.
Security is super tight there because they have a national defense contract so these were the only photos we were able to get of the plant... from the outside.
Grandpa showed us his newly remodeled nursing station and all around the plant. He taught us all about how they make zirconium rods for nuclear reactors.
At the end of the tour, they gave us lunch and some fancy water bottles.
Which helped us start a really great water fight. Thanks, Grandpa, for a fun, informative day!
