Constitution Day at LPA

 Bryant's class celebrated Constitution Day on Monday.  They did some fun activities to help them learn more about the United States Constitution.

 One of the activities they did included learning the preamble.  Each child got a slip of paper with part of the words of the preamble on it.  They had to get in the right order and read their part.

 After learning about the preamble, they went outside to learn a little about the ongress and the senate.   They acted out the parts of both and learned about how the congress and senate provide checks and balances in government through a friendly game of tug-of-war.

Then we headed back inside to learn a little bit about the supreme court and vote on which kind of ice cream the class thought should be our country's favorite kind of ice cream.

 Bryant loved having his "baby brother" visit him in class.  He was so proud and Cameron loved it, too.

 Then they ate the patriotic rice crispy treats I made.  I made some for Hallie's class, too, but by the time it was her party later in the day, I was just too tired to go :(
