During the Fourth of July holiday weekend, thousands of people spend time in the emergency room each year. This was our year. Bryant biffed it on a scooter that was falling apart and hit his chin on the pavement, slicing it open, gushing blood and resulting in 5 stitches.
Luckily enough for us, we didn't have to spend 8 hours in the E.R. because we were at a family party in Clinton, and were near enough to Mike's uncle's practice, that we could run over and have him stitched up in less than an hour-- Thanks Sheldon!
This is where the images get a little more gruesome... viewer beware.
Although the initial shock of the injury resulted in some screaming and whaling, the actual sewing up job went great. Bryant is a tough little guy when it comes to things like that. The poor kid has been a good sport about staying out of the water and watching his chin. Hopefully, we'll stay away from any more holiday weekend injuries. Cross your fingers!

Hi! Nice catch-up! So sorry about Bryants mishap....grrr.... so lucky to have a doc in the family! We used to be in the same ward as the Peterson family you worked with - so fun to see them and see what beautiful pictures you got. Nice work friend:)
ReplyDeleteSo weird Les! I know the Petersen's too! Ang, nice pics!
